Scary moments at two Kingston City schools Wednesday morning.

According the Kingston City School Districts Facebook page a precautionary lockout took place on Wednesday morning at Edson Elementary School and Bailey Middle School.

The Kingston Police Department contacted the schools about reports of a suspicious person in the area of the schools.

Both schools were then placed in a precautionary lockout, which makes sure that all students are inside the building, secures the building perimeter and locks all outside doors.

As of now, all students and staff are safe and building operations have resumed a normal schedule and will continue to operate on a normal schedule at both schools.

The Kingston Police Department has not released any information about the suspicious person as of now but have stated that it is safe for the schools to continue normal operations.

When more information is available, we will update this story.
