Hudson Valley Teacher Wins Big on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ [UPDATE]
Update:
Well, it turns out that there was good reason why Nick Parlapiano was quiet about how he did on the show: he won big!
He made it all the way to the bonus round where he solved the puzzle "FILL IN THE GAPS". He won a total of $78,350, plus trips.
Congratulations! Way to go!
Original Story:
Nick Parlapiano, 28, a 7th and 8th grade Italian teacher for the Wappingers Central School District will be on 'Wheel of Fortune' tonight, according to a report in the Poughkeepsie Journal. He has been watching the show since he was 2-years old. He said that his parents would put it on for him when they put him in his playpen.
Parlapiano went to a closed audition in Brooklyn, then received a letter from "Wheel of Fortune", then went to meet Pat Sajak, and Vanna White. A truly "surreal" experience Parlapiano told the Poughkeepsie Journal.
He taped the show in December, but he has not revealed how he did of course. I guess we will just have to tune in to find out.
