Local Student Tells us How She Got a Selfie With the Pope

Would you ask the Pope to pose for a selfie? That's what one Hudson Valley girl did and she tells us the incredible story of what happened next.

Veronica DiPaul is a student from John S. Burke Catholic High School in Orange County and was selected to represent her school when the Pope visited New York. Veronica told us that the Pope was very generous with his time and personally greeted each student in attendance.

When it was DiPaul's turn to meet the pontiff, she says that she became so nervous that her hands were shaking. In a moment of inspiration, Veronica says that without thinking she asked the Pope to pose for a selfie. What happened next is something she will remember for the rest of her life.
