We've all seen parents that take their children's sports games too seriously, but a Hudson Valley woman allegedly took it to the extreme and is now facing charges for her behavior during a youth softball game on Sunday.

The Times Herald Record is reporting that Diana Lattin of Kingston was arrested at the Cantine Sports Complex in Saugerties after police received a 911 call about a fight in progress.

Police say she then continued to fight, pulling an entire fist-full of hair from the other parent's head.

According to police, witnesses say that Lattin was "out of control" during the game. Onlookers say that the 50-year-old mother of one of the players was spitting at the coaches and wound up fighting with other parents. During the fight, it's alleged that Lattin was also pushing the parents of other players.

When one of the parents tried to restrain Lattin by wrapping their arms around her, Lattin freed herself by biting the other parent. Police say she then continued to fight, pulling an entire fist-full of hair from the other parent's head. The softball mom wound up spending the rest of her Mother's Day in police custody.

Lattin was arrested by police at the scene and charged with third-degree attempted assault. The Record reports that the Softball Mom was released after her arraignment and has been ordered by the court to stay away from the other parent involved in the fight.
