A city of Poughkeepsie school official has resigned amid allegations of soliciting a prostitute.

The Poughkeepsie Journal reports Stanley Bronski, who was in charge of Poughkeepsie School finances, has resigned after he reportedly asked a prostitute to "service him" at work.

Bronski resigned July 2, and the information only came to light due to the Journal's request under the Freedom of Information Act.

The Poughkeepsie school District uncovered the information via email from the alleged prostitute in June. She was supposed to meet Bronski at a local hotel room, and when he didn't show up, she attempted to contact him. He requested she come to his office and do the deed there. She refused, which led to his refusal to pay.

According to public records, Bronski made $139,000 in his position with the school district.
