A local PBA treasurer and police dispatched was arrested by New York State Police charges she stole from union accounts. 

Patti Lovelace, 60, of Eldred was arrested for stealing funds from the Village of Liberty Police PBA during her tenure as treasurer for the union, the New York State Police said in a press release. At the time of arrest, Lovelace was a dispatcher for the Liberty Police Department.

Following an investigation by union officials and State Police, authorities determined that over the course of the past two years, Lovelace stole roughly $13,000 from union accounts, according to the press release. Lovelace was charged with Grand Larceny in the third-degree, a felony.

Lovelace was arraigned in Town of Liberty Court and released on her own recognizance, pending future court proceedings.
