Local police are still combing the Hudson Valley in search of a man accused of shooting at his girlfriend and baby while holding them hostage.

Time Warner Cable News reports that police are still on the lookout for Kenneth Rickenbacker after an alleged domestic violence incident in Monticello in Sullivan County on Sunday. Police say Rickenbacker held his girlfriend hostage along with her child and a group of other people. Reports say that the man shot at his girlfriend several times while she was holding the infant.

The alleged gunman's girlfriend fled and called 911 before Rickenbacker grabbed the baby and left. The child was eventually left at a friend's home, but Rickenbacker is still on the loose.

Thankfully Rickenbacker's girlfriend and baby were both unharmed, but residents are on edge knowing that the alleged gunman still hasn't been found. Police think that Rickenbacker may be on his way back to New York City, but if anyone has any information about his whereabouts they are asked to contact the Monticello Police Department.
