Here is another case of bad judgment.

According to the Daily Freeman, a 16-year-old Highland High School student is facing a felony charge after threatening to shoot fellow students at the school.

The male student, who was not identified by police because of his age, made a verbal threat to one or two of his classmates at the high school back on Nov. 10.

Lloyd police Lieutenant James Janso told the Freeman that the male in this case did not have a gun with him or at his home and there was no “actual threat at the school.”

When police received the complaint and arrived at the High School they entered the building and secured the area. Then police interviewed the students that were threatened and took the male suspect into custody. The high school was not put in lock-down.

The teen was being held on $5,000 bail at the Ulster County Jail and is scheduled back in town court today.
