Local Businesses Thank Our Veterans
November 11 is Veterans Day. There aren't enough words or actions to show how much we appreciate the men and women who put their lives on the line for us. They leave the comfort of their homes and families to make sure that we continue to have our freedom.
And it doesn't matter if you're pro-war or anti-war...I don't know one person who isn't for the troops.
Once again, many businesses want to show thanks by giving deals to the vets. And I'm all for that. Right here in the Hudson Valley, the following businesses are offering specials for vets:
Foam and Wash is inviting all active duty and former members of the military a free car wash on Veterans Day
Evol Street Ink Tattoo & Piercing in Poughkeepsie is offering 20% off any tattoo or piercing with a military ID.
Hidden Hollow Farm is offering free riding lessons for Vets and their families. Call (845) 758-0619
Between noon and 5pm Sophia's Ice Cream Parlor in Newburgh will offer vets a free parfait with toppings and whipped cream.
The Poughkeepsie Ice House will offer a free lunch and dinner menu to veterans.
Topricin Healing Cream is offering a 30% off coupon for Veterans. Call (845) 871-4900
