It happened on Tuesday in Chester.

According to a press release from the Town of Chester Police Department, 13-year-old Drew Greco was sitting on the trunk of a car that his dad, Michael Greco, was driving on a farm road that runs between a horse barn and their home on Pine Hill Rd in Chester at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police Chief Daniel Doellinger said Greco slid off the trunk lid and struck his head on a rock as the car was moving.

The boy lost consciousness briefly and was disoriented, so the emergency medical professionals called for a helicopter and set up a landing zone at a nearby residence on White Horse Lane.

The helicopter flew the boy over to Westchester Medical Center, where a cat scan was performed and showed that he suffered no brain trauma or other serious or permanent injuries.
