A popular Poughkeepsie bar and restaurant will be closing its doors for good on Halloween.

Known as having "the best burger in town," the Hobbnobbin Pub has been a local institution for many years. In a Facebook post Friday, they thanked patrons for 27 years of loyal service.

After 27 years of friendship, community, laughter, tears, celebrations, great food, drinks and hangovers, Hobnobbin Pub is closing it's doors for good. From our award winning wings to the 'Best Burgers in Town' to the best staff and best bar awards to the Halloween parties and hair-of-the-dogs, we've all undoubtedly created memories forever in our hearts.

In April, it was announced that owner Merrick Egan had put the building was up for sale. It was listed at LoopNet with a sale price of $399,000, the property was still listed as of this morning.

So you've got more than a month to grab a burger and a beer, and maybe reminisce with some friends at one of the areas longest tenured establishments before they close up shop for good.
