After hearing a British robot describe Poughkeepsie for a half hour, I'm not so afraid about machines rising up to take over the world anymore.

You can find some strange things online and this is one of them: a robot reading the Wikipedia page about the City of Poughkeepsie.

I'll admit, when I started to listen I thought this was a stupid idea. But then something happened. That robot voice with its odd, British accent started to lure me in. The way it pronounced "Pou-kip... see" and coldly rattled off facts about the city's population and history was strangely hypnotic. I was hooked.

Perhaps it was a welcome change from the usually sarcastic tone in which people describe Poughkeepsie. This British robot doesn't judge, it doesn't insert its own biases about the quality of life here in the Queen City. All this beautiful robot does is list facts about Poughkeepsie in a soothing and calming voice.

After 15 minutes in I realized that I was in some sort of trance and had to stop for fear of falling under the robot's spell. Let's see how long it takes for you to fall in love with Poughkeepsie after learning about its many facts from the world's most likeable robot voice.
