Nearly 20,000 people have attended the electronic music festival at Bethel Woods this weekend and state police say that there have been numerous arrests for felony drug possession and DWI.

The four-day Mysteryland Music Festival marks the very first time Bethel Woods has been open to camping since the iconic Woodstock festival in 1969.

As of Sunday, police tell the Daily Freeman that they've arrested five concert attendees for drunk driving and four others for felony drug possession. Drugs confiscated by police include:

  • cocaine
  • MDMA
  • LSD
  • ketamine
  • ecstasy
  • marijuana

Police have not revealed the total number of drug arrests, just five drug felonies.

Bethel Woods has made it clear that drug possession is illegal at the concert and designated drivers would be needed for anyone consuming alcohol. There has been concern over the gathering of so many EDM fans in one location after an MDMA overdose led to the death of one man at the Electric Zoo Festival in New York City in 2013.
