He's considered a "Guitar God" who has influenced many. I am scheduled to speak with Michael Schenker(Scorpions, UFO, MSG) on Wednesday at 7pm during the WPDH Big Hair Scare segment. Michael Schenker will play The Chance in Poughkeepsie on Saturday night January 25th with special guest: Kristen Capolino. Schenker was one of many guitarists that auditioned for the lead guitar spot in The Rolling Stones in the mid 70's after Mick Taylor's dismissal. He also auditoned for Aerosmith in 1979 after Joe Perry left, and he was also considered as a replacement for Randy Rhoads in Ozzy's band after Randy's death. Michael Schenker has a new album out called Bridge The Gap which features Michael being reunited with ex-Scorpions drummer Herman Rarebell and bassist Francis Buchholz, along with vocalist Doogie White (ex-Rainbow) and Wayne Findlay (guitar, keyboards). Don't miss this interview Wednesday night January 8th at 7pm on 101.5 WPDH! Tickets for Michael Schenker at The Chance January 25th are available through The Chance box office at 845-471-1966 or ticketfly.com
