Laurie Anderson, Widow of Lou Reed, Gets Stuck in Hyperbaric Chamber

In a strange bit of news...performing artist Laurie Anderson, who happens to be the widow of the late Lou Reed, found herself in quite the predicament when she called for help last week....as she was stuck in an oxygen filled tank. Anderson was at the Pure Flow spa in Chelsea, inside the hyperbaric chamber when the chambers's zipper somehow got stuck, trapping Anderson inside for about 45 minutes. Anderson realized she was stuck and then texted a friend who notified 911. FDNY rescuers quickly arrived at the West 15th Street spa to find a visibly shaken up Anderson, who had managed to free herself right before they showed up. Andrew Barile, owner of Pure Flow, said she probably fell asleep and that was a misscommunication. He denies any wrong doing. According to the NY Daily News, Anderson couldn't be reached for comment at the time.
