A new Hollywood thriller titled "Cryptocurrency" has started filming in the Hudson Valley. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is about money laundering in the world of electronic currency.

Beau Knapp stars as a federal agent that goes back to his small hometown in the Hudson Valley to investigate money laundering. His father, played by Kurt Russell, is struggling to keep his family farm afloat with the help of the agent's brother, portrayed by Luke Hemsworth who is currently in "Westworld." Alexis Bledel from "Gilmore Girls" also stars as an art dealer who somehow figures into the mysterious underworld of cryptocurrency and cyber crime.

Although filming locations are being kept top secret, some scenes have already been shot in Uptown Kingston, as well as other Ulster County locations. There have been reports from people who claim to have been on set with Alexis Bledel and other cast members last week. Locals have been on the lookout for the stars, who will be in the Hudson Valley area throughout the production of "Cryptocurrency."
