Kingston Police Officer Shoots Man at Kingston Plaza

According to the Daily Freeman, a Kingston police officer shot a man who allegedly pointed a gun at him Thursday night at Kingston Plaza.

The Daily Freeman is reporting that the officer responded at about 11:50 p.m. to a call for a burglary in progress at the Chase Bank branch at Kingston Plaza. When the officer arrived, a man who pointed what appeared to be a handgun at him, according to the report. This confrontation led to the man being shot by the officer.

The wounded man was taken to Albany Medical Center for treatment.
