It was a big day on Sunday for the Kingston High School Tiger Marching Band!

The Fall Fanfare competition took place on Sunday at Dietz stadium in Kingston and is sanctioned by the New York State Field Band Conference.

The competition, according to the Daily Freeman, which is the last competition before the big state championships in Syracuse, was attended by 6 schools this year and ended with a huge day for Kingston.

The Kingston High School Tiger Marching Band achieved its highest score ever, a 87.95, which was good enough to score the band first place in the Large School 2 Division at the years Fall Fanfare.

Cicero North-Syracuse was the school that came in second place with a final score of 86.10.

For Kingston, the first place finish comes at a the perfect time as their next stop is the state championships. The championships will take place this Sunday, October 30th at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.
