Kids in the Kitchen

Safe Harbors of the Hudson on Broadway in Newburgh is offering a hands-on children's cooking experience tomorrow, Aug. 29 through Thursday, Aug. 31 from 11 am - 12 noon each day. Children ages 7 and up will prepare, cook, and enjoy eating seasonal meals that they create with Chef Lana. The menu is a pasta party theme. On Tuesday they will make fresh bowtie pasta with fennel sausage, tomato basil sauce, and garlic broccolini. Wednesday's menu is pesto chicken with fresh fettuccini, sauteed mushrooms and shaved parmesan. Thursday it's ricotta basil gnocchi, portobello bolognese, and roasted summer squash. Sounds delicious, does't it?
