Keurig Green Mountain is recalling roughly 6.6 million MINI Plus Brewing Systems in the U.S and over 500,000 in Canada as a result of burn reports, according to the CSPC.

In a statement from Keurig's VP of Corporate Communications, Suzanne DuLong she said:

"Any reports of injury received were handled promptly. Important to note, is that any reported injuries of this issue were generally minor and we've received a very small number relative to the total number of units in the U.S. and Canada."

Keurig did contact the CPSC and Health Canada regarding the K10 model number. Brewers that have been recalled have an I.D. number starting with "31".

The brewers are single serve hot beverage brewers, and come in 13 different colors.

there were about 200 reports that hot water was coming out of the brewer, and almost 100 reports of burn related injuries. The machines were sold between December 2009 through December 2014 and cost about $100.

Customers are instructed to contact Keurig for a free repair of their machine.
