JetBlue is offering free flights to the families of the victims of Sunday’s mass shooting in Orlando. The company is also waiving fees for some customers.

49 people were killed and over 50 injured when Omar Mateen opened fire at the nightclub Pulse. Mateen was shot and killed by police.

In a blog posting the airline stated, “This weekend’s events are felt by all of our 19,000 crewmembers, many of whom live in, work from and travel through Orlando – one of our focus cities – at Orlando International Airport, our Orlando Support Center and JetBlue University.”

To help the victims of the tragedy the company is proving free seats on its available flights to and from Orlando for the immediate family and domestic partners of the victims killed or injured.

Those family members and domestic partners requiring travel assistance can contact 1-800-JETBLUE for details.

JetBlue also announced they will waive fees for any customer traveling to or from Orlando who need, or want, to make last-minute changes in their travel plans in the wake of the tragedy.

For crew-members impacted by the event JetBlue activated resources to assist.

The company plans to make a charitable contribution to support the victims and their families.
