Cearra Swetman claims a man who made a rude comment about her weight wound up saving her life.  A year ago she weighed 250lbs and was out for dinner with friends.  Cearra was wearing a Hooters T-Shirt, when a drunk guy walked past and commented that she didn't look like any Hooters girl he ever saw.

That was a turning point for Cearra.  She changed the way she ate, exercised and lost over 100lbs.  In fact, her goal was to prove that rude drunk guy wrong and recently she was hired as a real Hooters waitress.

This morning we were wondering if the ends justify the means.  This rude comment wound up saving this woman's life.  Our society has no problem calling out smokers.  People yell at smokers and tell them how unhealthy their actions are.  We create laws to make smokers pay for their choice and restrict their activities... so why is it not socially acceptable to do the same for the obese?  Eating a double cheeseburger is just as unhealthy as smoking a cigarette, so why the double standard?
