Talk about heavy metal! Iron Maiden's private jumbo jet "Ed Force One" has been deemed to heavy too to land at a German airport. Alternative plans have been made.

According to blabbermouth.net, Germany's Spiegel reports that the band's plane will not be able to land at the Dortmund, Germany airport ahead of it's headlining festival show at Rock Im Revier on May 27. The band will now land a day before the show at another location and take a bus to the festival. Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson is piloting the plane on the band's world tour in support of the band's latest album, The Book of Souls. The tour kicked off Feb. 24 in Sunrise, Florida and hits Madison Square Garden in NYC on March 30. Maiden always deliver a kick ass show and they don't tour the U.S. enough. See them if you get a chance!
