How do you break the ice with a certain Indonesian leader? Play to his love of Metallica! Indonesian president Joko "Jokowi" Widodo love for metal, and specifically Metallica, has been well documented in the past, so when Danish prime minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen recently met with the leader, he presented Widodo with a signed Metallica Master of Puppets box set.

According to the Jakarta Post, Rasmussen presented Widodo with the impressive recently released box set during a bilateral meeting at the Bogor Palace Tuesday (Nov. 28) afternoon. "Prime Minister Rasmussen understands my favorite," beamed a surprised Widodo, who in turn presented his cohort with a rencong (a traditional dagger from Aceh). The box set had been signed by Lars Ulrich.

While the gesture was greeted warmly by Widodo, it may have caused him some drama. According to Coconuts Jakarta, there's a chance that the politician may not be able to keep the box set as it technically constitutes a form of gratification that must be legally reported to the country's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The law was designed to keep politicians from receiving gifts that could be viewed as forms of bribery. Under the rules of the law, items under $75 are not considered an infraction, but the most expensive version of the box set retails for $99, with Ulrich's signature likely raising the value.

The KPK stated that they had not received a report about the gift, but a spokesperson stated that there would be one filed soon within the 30-day review period.
