Each week on ‘In Touch’, our locally produced public affairs program, I have the pleasure of talking with individuals and organizations from all over the Hudson Valley. We focus on non-profit organizations and volunteers who are working hard to help make all of our communities better places to live, work, and raise our families.

This week, I got to welcome a good friend back into the studio to talk about all of the work being done to help senior citizens in the Hudson Valley. Todd Tancredi, Director of The Office of the Aging in Dutchess County and Brian Jones (whom I was lucky enough to work with for about 10 years here in our building) Outreach Coordinator of the Office of the Aging in Dutchess County stopped by to share all that this office does.

As we began to talk, Brian pointed out that every county in the Hudson Valley has an Office of the Aging, so even if you don't know their number, you can call 845-486-2555, they'll get you all of the information you need. We talked about caregivers, summer picnics, friendship centers, upcoming conferences, the Senior Prom, and so many other programs. Per usual, my guests explain everything better than I could ever write, so without further ado, here's this week's In Touch.

If you, or someone you know, is involved with a non-profit organization here in the Hudson Valley and would like an opportunity to come on the show and talk about what is important to you. Please let me know, leave a message here or email me at beth.christy@townsquaremedia.com.
