Hyde Park Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident

A motorcycle rider was killed Saturday in Hyde Park in a collision involving a car, the Poughkeepsie Journal reports.

Wayne Gowen's daughter confirmed to the Poughkeepsie Journal that he was the man killed in an accident near the intersection of Haviland Road and Cream Street at 1:37PM.

His daughter told the Poughkeepsie Journal that her father, a Hyde Park resident, was a cautious rider. The cause of the accident has not been released, but a Hyde Park Police Department representative believes Saturday's rainy weather may have led to slippery road conditions, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal report.
