It was not business as usual this morning at the Rondout Savings Bank on Route 9 in Hyde Park. According to the New York State Police, a man entered the bank at approximately 10:25 am and demanded money.  The suspect then fled on foot heading northbound on Route 9.

The subject was seen wearing blue jeans, glasses, a red and black flannel shirt, dark colored jacket, a North Face knit cap, and dark colored boots. Various police vehicles from both the Hyde Park Police department as well as the New York State Police from Rhinebeck surrounded the bank as well as police dogs used to help track the subject.

After a day-long investigation and search, the Town of Hyde Park Police Department reported on their Facebook page at 4:20 this afternoon that the suspect was caught and arrested without incident and they thank everyone for helping to spread the word.
