The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said a Poughkeepsie woman was arrested for leaving her child, unattended, in a vehicle for 40 minutes. 26 year-old Quanisha Lyons was already at the Dutchess County Jail, bailing out her brother, when she left her baby daughter alone in the car while inside the building. Police say she's been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

The Daily Freeman reports that Lyons was arrested upon returning to the vehicle, after leaving the county jail. The Sheriff’s Office did not provide the age of the infant or the name of Lyons’ jailed brother.
