An Accord man is one of 16 people who will split a $58 million Mega Millions jackpot. The Times Herald Record reports that Harvey Masonson of Accord is among a group of 16 co-workers from the biopharmaceutical company Ophthotech. The workers won the jackpot March 24 in Manhattan. According to Evelyn Harrison, group spokeswoman and Ophthotech COO, each coworker contributes $4 a week to the ticket purchases of multi-state game tickets. She also says that the buyer of each ticket send copies to everyone in the group.

Other winners from the Ophthotech include residents living in the Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, New Jersey and one person commuting between the New York area and California.

State Lottery officials presented the oversized check to the 16 people from the office pool at Carlton Cards, 1 Penn Plaza, Manhattan, where the winning ticket was purchased.
