Dutchess County liquor stores are required by law to not be open after 7PM. In fact, the most that they can legally be open is 9AM to 7PM Monday through Saturday and noon to 9PM on Sunday. Inside those parameters, the individual business can decide when they want to be open.

According to midhudsonnews.com, there are a few people in Beacon that want to change this. The Beacon City Council will formally ask the county to push that back later in the evening, said Mayor Randy Casale.

According to the article, The Beacon City Council will be joining with the efforts of one Town of Fishkill councilman who is also looking to increase the hours that liquor stores can be open.
