Some 30,000 cases of Sabra Classic Hummus have been voluntarily recalled due to the possible presence of Listeria . No illnesses have been reported in connection with the product. The possible contamination was discovered in a random sample of the product done in Michigan.

What are Listeria infection symptoms?

  • fever
  • nausea and vomiting
  • diarrhea
  • abdominal pain and cramping
  • back pain

The best before date on the packages is May 11, 2015. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has the list of product UPCs included in the recall. If you have one of these products, you are advised to throw it out, or you can take it back to the store you purchased it at for a refund.
