A prominent Hudson Valley public servant will be representing the area on President-elect Trump's transition team. Officials announced Thursday Sheriff Butch Anderson is the newest addition to the Executive Committee.

Before the election, Sheriff Anderson was honorary co-chair of the New York campaign. He also appeared alongside Trump at a rally in April at the Mid Hudson Civic Center. At the time, Sheriff Anderson had this to say via press release about his relationship with Trump.

“I've known Donald Trump for a decade; I know his handshake is a solemn pledge. Here in Dutchess County, he has done great things, always keeping his word and delivering even more than he promises. What he has done for Dutchess, I know he can do for America, so I proudly stand with him as he works to Make America Great Again.”

GreatAgain.gov reports the additions also included Omarosa Manigault, a well known reality TV star.
