Life has changed for one local teen who has just signed his first professional soccer contract. The Poughkeepsie Journal reports Tyler Adams of Wappingers Falls, just 16 years old, is going pro. He just signed the deal Thursday with the New York Red Bulls II, a team owned by the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer.

Adams, who attends Roy C. Ketcham High School, has never played high school soccer. Instead, has been involved with the Red Bulls Regional Development School since age 10.

Tyler's goal is to one day play for a major soccer club in Europe, we think he's on the right track! Still ahead is the struggle of balancing a professional soccer career and school.

Here's a look at the New York Red Bulls for 2015.
