The Food Network is home to shows like "Chopped," "Good Eats" and "Diners Drive-Ins and Dives." One Hudson Valley teen is leaving her mark on the network's "Chopped: Teen Tournament" by cooking her way to the finals.

The Daily Freeman reports Alexina Chasin of Kingston has advanced to the finals with a chance to win $25,000 if she can defeat her opponents.

The format of the competition has the young chefs squaring off in three separate rounds. Ingredients are hidden inside a basket, with the contents not revealed until just before it's time to cook. At that point, each chef has 30 minutes to create a dish to impress the judges or face elimination.

Watch Alexina compete for the championship on Sept. 22 at 10PM on the Food Network. Below, check out a video via the Daily Freeman from just before her initial TV appearance.
