Tuesday morning brought freezing rain through the region, forcing many schools to delay opening.

Buses will be off of the road this morning as icy conditions take over most of the morning commute on Tuesday. A storm is bringing freezing rain through most of the Hudson Valley during the morning commute, but it's not expected to impact travel later on this afternoon.

The National Weather Service says the precipitation should end by 9am in most of Orange County and 10 am in Dutchess. The freezing rain will be followed by rain as temperatures rise into the upper 30s.

As of 6am there were already delays for schools in Dutchess County including Arlington, Beacon and Wappingers. Orange County schools are also showing delays, as well as Sullivan and Ulster.

You can get up to the minute delays on our Storm Center below and be sure to tune in this morning for any late breaking traffic and weather information.
