Hudson Valley Radio Shows Get ‘Trumped’

Say what you will about Donald Trump, there's no denying that the man is a marketing genius. That fact was made even more apparent this week after it was revealed the unlikely presidential candidate somehow got Jeb Bush's own website to redirect to his own.

Jeb isn't the only victim to Trump's online guerrilla campaign. The Daily News reports that certain domains visited by supporters of Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders also redirect to Trump's.

Actually, the idea is pretty genius. So genius that I decided to steal it. As the host of the Boris & Robyn Show on WPDH I'm always looking for ways to attract new listeners, so why not just poach them from other shows right here in the Hudson Valley?

I was surprised to find out that it was actually quite easy to purchase websites for some of our local competitors. As a result, the domains CJinthemorning.com, MarkBolgerInTheMorning.com and DeuceAndBrandi.com are now completely under my control. We did our best to try and buy up domains for the Woodman show, but it seems that most combinations of the words "wood" "morning" and "man" already lead to some interesting websites, so that work was basically done for us. Thanks, perverts!

So now we were left to figure out what exactly to do with these web domains. Trump just redirected Jeb's to his, but that seemed a little boring, so we took some suggestions from the listeners. We were flooded with ideas about linking the sites to some unsavory links, embarrassing videos and photos ranging from boring pieces of white toast, toothless hillbillies to other not-so-flattering subject matters.

In the end, will taking a page out of Donald Trump's playbook actually make The Boris & Robyn Show even more popular than it already is? Probably not, but it sure was a fun way to spend $40.
