Hudson Valley Police Responded To Armed Hostage Situation
Police from the Hudson Valley responded to reports of an armed hostage situation.
On Sunday around 7:30 p.m., police for Orange County, including the Orange County Sheriff's Office SWAT team responded to a report of a man being held hostage at gunpoint inside a home on East Main Street in Wallkill.
As seen in the video below, members from the SWAT team exited an armored vehicle and entered the blue house to search for hostages or the gunmen.
Everyone inside the apartment building was evacuated by police. When the SWAT team found nobody else inside they left the building.
Following an investigation, the report of the hostage situation was deemed false, police say.
Authorities interviewed many people. No word on who made the hostage report or if anyone was arrested.
