If you think this summer a lot hotter than you remember, you might actually be right. The Hudson Valley is on track to set an all-time weather record before the summer ends.

According to the National Weather Service, Poughkeepsie has already seen 28 days with high temperatures over 90 degrees this year. Anyone who's been outdoors over the past week knows it's damn hot. But did you realize that we may actually be setting a record?

2016 already has the third highest amount of days reaching over 90 degrees. There's a a six-way tie for first place with the most recent year being 2010, where the 90-degree mark was reached for 30 days in the calendar year. In second place is 1959 with 29 days.

There's a great chance that we will actually wind up hitting the number one spot before summer officially ends. The forecast calls for temperatures in the upper-80s to 90s through the weekend. And with Fall still 38 days away there's plenty of time for three days of blazing heat to push 2016 to number one.
