Hudson Valley Native to Star in Fox’s Live ‘Grease’ Musical
A local high school graduate will be performing alongside Julianne Hough and Vanessa Hudgens when "Grease Live" is broadcast on Fox in January.
The Times Herald Record has announced that Aaron Tveit, a Middletown High School graduate, will star as Danny Zuko for the ambitious live musical broadcast.
Tveit is not new to landing big roles. He's currently starring in “Graceland” on USA and has also been in the cast of“Catch Me if You Can” and “Wicked” on Broadway.
I’m thrilled and honored to be joining this incredibly talented team of actors in re-imagining this classic and beloved musical... Playing Danny Zuko is a dream role and I can’t wait to be a part of all the fun that comes along with performing live on television.
Julianne Hough will play opposite Tveit as Sandy and Vanessa Hudgens has been cast as Rizzo.
