A Kingston man is accused of sexually abusing a young teenage girl.

On Jan. 3, the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center began investigating the sexual abuse of teenage girl from the City of Kingston.

The investigation determined that 43-year-old Herbert Brown of Kingston allegedly had sexual conduct with a 14-year-old girl on at least one occasion.

Brown was charged second-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child, all misdemeanors.

Brown was arraigned in the City of Kingston Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash $10,000 secured bond.

An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.

The Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center was assisted by members of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.

The Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center comprised of members of the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police and Ulster County Child Protective Services.
