A local man was found guilty of reckless endangerment for jumping from One World Trade Center.

The Times Herald Record reports that Andrew Rossig from Slate Hill was named as one of the three men who jumped from the the World Trade Center in September. Before the new tower was completed, the three men scaled the Freedom Tower and completed a base jump. Months later they were identified and arrested.

Here is video taken by Rossig during the jump off of One World Trade Center:

Felony burglary charges were also brought against the men, but a jury cleared them of that charge. Instead, they have been found guilty of reckless endangerment and two other misdemeanors. According to Rossig's lawyer, the trio did not encounter any security the day of the jump and were careful to make sure no pedestrians would be injured.

Rossig and the other two men will be sentenced in August. He could serve up to a year in jail, although lawyers are pushing for community service and probation instead.
