A Hudson Valley man is seriously injured after he was attacked with a machete in Connecticut.

Christopher McGorman was walking on Willow Street in Waterbury around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, when a black Honda or Acura drove near him.

A man got out of the car and swung a machete and a stick at the Yonkers resident, who tried to defend himself. The attacker then fled the scene.

According to NBC McGorman suffered injuries to his back, shoulder, and partial amputations to some fingers on his right hand.

The suspect his still on the loose. The machete and attacker’s ball cap was found by police.
