An SUV traveling the wrong way on the Taconic State Parkway caused a fatal accident on Sunday.

The Poughkeepsie Journal reports that Jeffrey Divine, a 22-year-old resident of Stormville, died after his motorcycle collided with an SUV that was traveling the wrong way on the Taconic State Parkway early Sunday morning.

The State Police report that the driver of the SUV is Melida Espinal from Danbury, Connecticut. The 40-year-old was driving a 2006 Subaru carrying two passengers. All occupants of the SUV suffered only minor injuries.

Espinal's vehicle was reportedly traveling south in the northbound lanes after entering the parkway at Peekskill Hollow Road. The SUV crashed head-on the motorcycle, killing the driver and breaking the motorcycle into pieces.
