A Middletown man has been arrested as part of a major area drug bust dubbed "Operation Money Mike."

Lohud reports authorities began working the Rockland County case in June. On Tuesday along with alleged leader Michael McMullin and 28 others, Middletown resident Theodore Holmes was taken into custody and stands accused of being one of the organizations dealers. Holmes, a former youth football coach in the area, allegedly bought heroin while driving one of his 13-year-old players home. He has been jailed for violating parole on an earlier drug case.

The criminal enterprise mainly focused on the distribution of crack, cocaine and heroin. Authorities allege the "large scale narcotics trafficking operation" originated out of a room at the Days Inn in Nanuet. Wire-taps, surveillance and search warrants were used to unravel  and break up the ring. A full list of the defendants can be found here.

Police from Spring Valley, Ramapo, Clarkstown, Orangetown and Suffern were involved, as were Rockland County DA, DEA and Homeland Security.
