State Police allege a Hudson Valley woman, working as a home health care aid, stole over $4,000 from an elderly patient.

State Police from Dover Plains charged 48-year-old Michelle L. Kesson of Amenia with 3rd-degree grand larceny and 18 counts of 2nd-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, all felonies.

Police say while employed as a home health care aid for an elderly Dover Plains woman, Kesson stole over $4,000 from the victim’s bank accounts. The theft occurred in the Town of Amenia over several months time.

Kesson was arraigned in the Town of Amenia Court and was released on her own recognizance. She is due to re-appear in the Town of Amenia Court on March 21.
