Hudson Valley High School Student’s ‘Ellen’ Video Goes Viral

A local high school student wants to take Ellen DeGeneres to the prom, and he's hoping his prom-proposal video will get her attention.

North Rockland High School student, Alirio Magana, has been a huge fan of Ellen's since he was 10. The Journal News reports that the student, who has Cerebal Palsy, spent three weeks working on a video where he publicly asks DeGeneres to be his prom date.

Magana's twin brother, the school's principal and dozens of his fellow students are seen dancing to "Celebration" by Kool and the Gang as the student makes his way down a red carpet in his wheelchair.

The video was posted on March 25 and already has close to 30,000 views, thanks in most part to friends and classmates sharing the link on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #AliriosPromposal. No one is quite sure, however if the intended recipient has seen it. Degeres has not replied to Magana's invitation just yet... stay tuned.
