For 10 years a group of five friends played the lotto, imagining their life if they won. Their dream is now reality as the group is $106 million Mega Millions jackpot winners.

Lohud reports two Yonkers limousine drivers, Edgar Lopez and Manuel Hernandez are among the winners. The pair can certainly now afford their own limo! The other winners are Hernandez's wife, Acela, a housekeeper; and HVAC business owner Miguel Acosta; all of Yonkers, along with daycare teacher Angela Pares, from Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

Lopez purchased the winning ticket on Sept. 11 at Yonkers Grocery & Convenience Store on Yonkers Avenue. The store has produced a few million dollar winners over the last few years.

The group of five was presented a ceremonial check Thursday at Empire City Casino in Yonkers.  They won their mega-million prize using the numbers 5-11-31-50-67 with the Megaball number 14.

The five have decided to split the prize evenly. They are all taking one lump sum payment of $13.1 million before taxes. After taxes the four New York winners will each receive close to $8.5 million. The one New Jersey resident will collect $8.6 million.

The New York State lotto says the $106 million prize is the fourth largest sum in recent state history.
