It was a scary day for some food shoppers in the Hudson Valley today, when a local grocery store was evacuated due to a bomb threat.

The A&P on Route 82 in Hopewell received a bomb threat on Sunday afternoon, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal. Police were called and the store was closed down.

The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office along with the East Fishkill police investigated the building and found nothing. After calling in a bomb sniffing dog the store was reopened after 3:30pm.

Police say they continue to investigate the incident.
