The former Hudson Valley resident who's accused of pooping on a rival high school's football field is resigning after the public pooping accusations.

Thomas Tramaglini, 42, the superintendent of the Kenilworth School District, is accused of defecating daily on the Holmdel High School football field. The two school districts are about 25 miles apart, according to Google Maps.

Tramaglini attended John Jay High School in Hopewell Junction. He was arrested in April after he was allegedly caught on video leaving his own feces near the track at Holmdel High School.

Holmdel school officials set up video surveillance after human feces was found on or near the football field and track almost every day.

On Thursday, the Kenilworth Board of Education announced that Tramaglini resigned from his position as superintendent, effective Sept. 30.

"Based on events unrelated to his service for Kenilworth, it has become clear to both Dr. Tramaglini and the Kenilworth Board of Education that his continued service as Superintendent of Schools has become too much of a distraction to the main mission of the district,” the board wrote, according to the New York Post.

Despite resigning, Tramaglini continues to fight the allegations. In court, his lawyers demanded to see the full video of Tramaglini allegedly pooping.

According to CBS, there are at least four nearby porta-potties Tramaglini could have used instead of allegedly pooping on the football field.
