Gas prices have risen for the second straight week in a row, but residents of the Hudson Valley can avoid the increase every Wednesday this month.

We reported last week that New York gas prices have climbed from an average of around $1.90 per gallon in the beginning of March to over $2.10. The first week of April has seen the trend continue, with Gasbuddy.com reporting that prices have risen another $.07 per gallon.

The increased price of gasoline follows a national trend that shows prices also increasing across the country. Luckily, Hudson Valley residents can find some relief each Wednesday this month during the Boris & Robyn Show’s yearly “April Fuels” campaign.

Starting this week, lucky listeners get to fill up for free if they tune in to find out where gas cards will be given out each Wednesday. April 6 is the first stop on the month-long tour of the Hudson Valley. The Boris and Robyn Show's producer, Meat Sandwich will arrive at a secret Hudson Valley gas station that will be revealed at 8am. Listeners who know the "secret signal" that's posted on the WPDH Facebook page that morning can stop by and grab a free gas card.

Be sure you're listening every Wednesday morning to find out where Meat Sandwich is with your free gas. It’s our way of saying thanks for listening to WPDH in your car each morning.

Gas cards will be given out on a first-come-first-served basis. Only one card per car while supplies last.
